May is National Military Appreciation Month and veterans, servicemembers and their families are being honored with free admission, discounts, deals, and sales. May is a busy month with Memorial Day, Military Spouse Appreciation Day, Armed Forces Day and much more during the month of May.

Academy Sports + Outdoors – Online
A 10% discount is extended to all former and current members of the military, spouses, and first responders from May 12 – May 27. Verification is required through, and a one-time use promo code will be emailed upon confirmation of service.

Ace Hardware: On Saturday, the hardware store chain is giving out 1 million free American flags to consumers nationwide. Visit participating stores to get a free 8-by-12-inch flag while supplies last. No purchase necessary. A second flag will be donated to a local VFW Post to be used for marking and honoring veteran graves this Memorial Day, the company announced.

AMC Theaters: At participating AMC theaters active duty military, veterans, and dependents with a valid ID will be served a free large popcorn over Memorial Day weekend from May 24-27, 2019. Use your valid military ID at the box office also, to save at least 10% on the purchase of evening movie tickets.

Cinemark: Military discounts are available for active duty, active reserved, retired and dependents who show a valid U.S. government issued military ID at the box office. Some restrictions may apply and discount days and times vary by location.

Fogo de Chao:Veterans and active duty military members will receive 50% off their meals at Fogo de Chao this Memorial Day, and up to three guests will receive 10% off their meals.

Home Depot:A 10% discount is offered in-store to ALL military veterans on Memorial Day and a year-round 10% discount is available at participating U.S. locations to active duty personnel, reservists, retired or disabled veterans. A valid military ID must be presented to receive the discount. Home Depot does not accept state ID cards with veterans designation and some limitations may apply.

Hooter’s:At participating locations, Hooters is serving complimentary meals to veterans and active duty military with the purchase of a beverage. Entree options are available from the Memorial Day Menu and a valid ID is required to receive the discount. Military members also receive a 10% discount throughout the year, and 20% off on Tuesdays. Discount and promotion is valid at participating locations nationwide.

Lowe’s:This Memorial Day, all Military Veterans receive a 10% discount at Lowe’s. Lowe’s also offers an everyday 10% Military Discount available to active duty, Retired Veterans, and VA Recipients and their dependents.

Logan’s Roadhouse: This Memorial Day our military eats FREE! Monday 5/27 from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. Join us in honoring and remembering the brave men and women who have everything to protect our country. As a small token of our appreciation for the people who serve our country every day, we’re giving free American Roadhouse meals to active duty military members and veterans on Memorial Day.

Schlitterbahn Waterparks:During American Heroes Week, Schlitterbahn Waterparks offer free admission to military members and first responders, and spouses and children receive a 40% discount on admission. American Heroes Week is Monday, May 27 – June 2. A valid military ID is required to receive the complimentary and discounted admission rates. Plus, at New Braunfels, South Padre Island, and Corpus Christi locations, eligible military and first responders will receive 20% off room rates to stay overnight.

Outback Steakhouse:From 5/24 to 5/28 20% off for servicemen, veterans, police, officers and firefighters.

Texas State Aquarium: As a thank you for their service to our nation, military personnel and veterans receive $2 off regular admission. To redeem your discount, please show identification verifying your service on-site, such as a valid military ID or a driver’s license identifying you as a veteran.
